Intro Light Plan
Successful supplemental lighting starts with a well thought out light plan that is tailor made for your specific business situation. In a light plan the optimum balance between fixtures, reflectors, lighting pattern and the distance between the fixtures and the crop is calculated. Various factors such as the desired light level, light distribution, most effective height for the fixtures, sprinkler systems, screens, heating and the greenhouse's construction are given careful consideration for this. As a lighting specialist we can give you very detailed advice about the ideal combination of these factors so that you will achieve optimum lighting returns with as few fixtures as possible. Using a computer program that has been specially developed for P.L. Light Systems, we then calculate the achievable light level and the light distribution that has been realised.
